Metz donates 45,000 protective masks
Together through the crisis
Zirndorf, 16.04.2020
Metz Consumer Electronics GmbH provides 45,000 protective masks free of charge. The TV manufacturer is cooperating with its trade partners, who will in turn be coordinating with local institutions and health authorities throughout Germany over the next few days where the masks are needed most urgently, in order to ensure a targeted allocation to clinics, care and other social institutions.
"It is of particular concern to us to be able to make a small contribution in the current challenging situation, in which above all the personnel in the health and care sector are providing the highest performance," says Dr. Norbert Kotzbauer, Managing Director of the traditional TV manufacturer Metz. "Currently, the masks are needed in many places, we now have the possibility to act at short notice and without bureaucracy to help locally together with our specialist dealers".
In order to supply the protective masks to care institutions, rescue services or other social purposes, Metz works nationwide with its trade partners. They contact local authorities in various regions of Germany to identify the current demand in the region and distribute the protective masks accordingly. The website www.metz-hilft.de, set up especially for this purpose, provides an overview of the locations where the donated masks are used.
The protective masks were provided by the Metz parent company SKYWORTH, which, among other things, produces the urgently needed masks in the current corona crisis.
